If you don’t meet the entry requirements for your preferred undergraduate program, you can consider enrolling in a UniSTART program as a pathway to your preferred degree.

At RMIT you can upgrade your skills and enter a degree program by studying English for University or joining UniSTART.

Application

1. Find your program

The first step to joining RMIT is to find a program that suits you best. Each RMIT program page includes useful information including career prospects, entry eligibility and fees. Search for a UniSTART program in a study area that interests you.

 

2. Check your eligibility

  • If you are applying for an Undergraduate degree, see eligibility for undergraduate programs and pathways. If you don’t meet the entry requirements for your preferred undergraduate program, you can consider enrolling in a UniSTART program as a pathway to your preferred degree
  • If your level of English is below IELTS (Academic) 6.5+, you may wish to consider undertaking the English for University course first.

 

3. Prepare your documents

To avoid delays in admission processing, please ensure you have all the necessary supporting documents ready to include in your application. 

4. Submit your application

Fill out the online application form (registration required) and attach all relevant supporting documents (refer to the Application checklist to see what documents are required).

Once your application is complete, follow the prompts and submit your application.

Note: If you're unable to apply via our online portal, please contact our Student Recruitment team.


Next steps

Your application will be assessed in line with RMIT’s policies and procedures. If you are successful, you will receive an offer letter online. Follow the prompts to accept your offer via the online application platform.

RMIT will normally advise you on the outcome of your application within 10 business days. If you don't hear back within the time frame above please contact our Student Recruitment team.
